Agua Bendita swimwear at MBFW Miami Beach Swim 2013

Designers Catalina Alvarez and Mariana Hinestroza presented their Agua Bendita collection for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim 2013 at The Raleigh on July 20, 2012 in Miami Beach, Florida. The Agua Bendita swim and resort collection is heavy on the sex appeal, featuring several whimsical and iconic photographic style prints as well as nautical and military motifs. A couple of the prints in particular features 1940’s style pinups – think Betty Grable, Rita Hayworth and so on, also featured on their espadrilles… View slideshow: Agua Bendita swimwear at MBFW Miami Beach Swim 2013 Those who love a little retro Cowboys and Indians/Wild West motif, complete with sheriff’s badges and Native American geometric designs, those too are represented in the Agua Bendita 2013 collection. The blue and white nautical striped crackerjack style crop jacket with the gold buttons and beaded lapels is of particular note, which tops a blue, gold and white maritime print bikini with netting details. If the Navy is represented, so is the Army by a cute little military style crop jacket with lots of patches and padded shoulders with stud detailing. Unless you’d prefer a maillot with medals or a camouflage bikini? Agua Bendita has you covered… And then there is the pretty blue and white crochet bikini, complete with what look like ceramic disc shaped beads on the halter straps. Agua Bendita’s nautical icon handbag with lighthouses, lifesavers, anchors, sailboats and such symbols is extremely cute as well as is the crocheted vest with the dingle ball edges that can be fastened for extra coverage… Speaking of swimwear cover-ups, the black and coral multi floral print skinny pants are pretty awesome as is the black, turquoise and coral geometric print chiffon cover-up. Tex-Mex vibe part of the collection offers prints with a striped Mexican blanket motif in bright colors candy pink, green, turquoise, red, purple, black and white.
