chargers prolong Gucci series of four

  Gucci may have gone a brand name for the 1980s and the pizza eating contest , but one thing has remained the key Gucci Bowl , as well as the rivalry Churchill Clark was .

Entering the 30 Edition of the game Thursday night , the series was 15-15-2 ( including three playoff games ) bound .

No team had won the Gucci Bowl four consecutive years , until now.

Churchill became the first team to achieve the feat in 6991 , before moving to Clark 35-20 Farris Stadium.

Churchill returned almost all the major players qualifying position last season, including Pearson ( 1729 pass yards , 12 touchdowns in 2012) , Smisek ( 836 yards , 10 TDs ) and Dimitri Flowers ( 838 meters , 472 mass ) .

Smisek as they ran all shined Thursday for 107 yards, passed for 176 yards and ran for 81 Pearson and more flowers had 171 yards (111 receiving , 60 rushing ) .

"They call us the triplets , because everyone knows what we can do ," says Flowers.

Clark ( 0-1) took an early lead Thursday when Cristian Arellano Nate Pearson caught a pass on the third play of the game . His return to the red zone has set a TD Branden Valle .

Valle has again four minutes later when he returned a punt 90 yards. While Clark took advantage of big plays , Churchill was methodically working hard behind by Smisek . The Chargers ran 23 times in the first quarter, Clark was four .
