Conde Nast to open GQ and Vogue cafe bar in Dubai



  DUBAI, United Arab Emirates - Vogue fashion-loving fans will soon have the opportunity to drink in the aura of the magazine in a coffee shop in Dubai.

The brilliant World Editor, Conde Nast International, said on Tuesday he plans to Vogue Cafe at the Mall of the glitzy Gulf emirate's largest shopping center to open by year's end.

This is the first such café society in the Middle East, where luxury fashion brands like Louis Vuitton, Burberry and Chanel are very popular with wealthy clients in the region.

"The international community and the local community are very aware of the UAE brands," said Stuart Nielsen, director of the department of Condé Nast restaurant.

"People always love to eat and to drink, and we see an opportunity because they love fashion."

Coffee will be surrounded by high-end fashion and shoe shops in the Dubai Mall. The sprawling shopping center is located at the foot of the tallest tower in the world, the 828-meter Burj Khalifa, which is already home to a posh hotel and several restaurants was designed by Giorgio Armani.

Modern European cuisine on the menu Vogue Cafe, but no alcohol is served, said Nielsen.

Drinks will be available, however, another Condé Nast is designed to take the male fans of his magazines. The publisher plans to open a bar in a GQ magazine focuses Dubai luxury hotels next year.

English versions of these magazines are in the Middle East, although Conde Nast does not publish localized versions of both.

The editor is based in partnership with Dubai company called Inspired Group on coffee and bar. Nielsen went on the financial terms of the partnership to discuss.

Condé Nast has opened a cafe similar in Moscow in 2004. He has since opened two other institutions in connection with its brands in the Russian capital.

The company plans to open more GQ Bar in Istanbul this year, and has signed agreements Conde Nast schools in Bangkok and Singapore, said Nielsen.

It also plans to open up the cafes in the towns closest Middle East Dubai, including Kuwait City and the UAE capital Abu Dhabi.

Besides Vogue and GQ, including Condé Nast title The New Yorker, Wired, and Vanity Fair.

Condé Nast International, which publishes international versions of American magazines make their restaurant division in 2010. There are more than 120 magazines in 24 international markets.
